Architectural Technician
Location: Cambridge
Salary: £32-36,000
A well-established and design-led architectural practice based in Cambridge is looking to appoint a skilled Architectural Technician to join its friendly and collaborative team. The successful Architectural Technician will contribute to a varied workload of medium to large scale schemes across residential, commercial, retail, leisure, and heritage sectors across the South and East of England. This role provides the chance to play an important part in delivering projects from early design stages through to completion on site.
Key Responsibilities for an Architectural Technician:
*Prepare accurate technical drawings, specifications, and full construction packages
*Support the preparation of planning applications and technical submissions
*Produce and coordinate drawing packages across various RIBA work stages
*Work closely with consultants, contractors, and internal team members to ensure effective coordination
*Assist in project delivery while ensuring compliance with current UK Building Regulations and standards
*Attend site visits and meetings as required
Requirements for the Architectural Technician role:
*Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology or a similar field
*Previous experience within a UK architectural practice
*Good working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction methods
*Proven ability to produce detailed technical drawings across multiple project stages
*Strong communication skills with a proactive and team-focused attitude
*Proficiency in Revit and other industry standard software
