Wavelength Charity Limited, a national organisation dedicated to reducing loneliness, is looking for a dynamic Fundraising Manager to join their Cambridge team. As a Fundraising Manager, you will be at the heart of Wavelength’s mission, developing and implementing innovative fundraising strategies across various income streams. Your role will involve building relationships with donors, partners, and supporters, ensuring the charity can continue its vital work. You will be part of a small, dedicated team where your proactive mindset and strong work ethic will be highly valued.
Your responsibilities will include crafting compelling funding applications, identifying new funding opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential donors. You will also collaborate with universities and academics to secure direct funding from government agencies, and plan and deliver creative fundraising campaigns and events, both online and offline. Monitoring and evaluating fundraising performance will be key, as will ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations and best practices.
Candidates should have proven experience in a fundraising or development role, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects. A proactive and self-motivated approach is essential, as is experience with online and social media campaigns, CRM systems, and donor management. Experience in the charity sector and knowledge of trust and foundation fundraising would be advantageous.
