Job Description:
Our Client is a City of London law firm with a headcount of 750 staff in offices across Europe. They specialise in many areas of law including Commercial, IP & Technology, Tax, Corporate Finance & M&A, Employment and Real Estate amongst others.
They currently have an opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team. The role will be part of the MI & Reporting team within the Central Finance Department. The team is responsible for reporting the firm’s results, including statutory and management accounts, budgets, forecasts, key performance indicators and performance reporting. This is a broad role which incorporates statutory accounts and audit, management accounts, budgeting and reporting.
Responsibilities
*Preparation of monthly Management Accounts, including variance analysis, P&L and balance sheet and other reports.
*Supervision of Fixed asset register, prepayments and accruals.
*Preparation and posting of other month end journal adjustments.
*Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
*Monthly cash flow forecasts Financial Accounting.
*Assisting with 30th June year end production of statutory Financial Statements.
*Preparation of reconciliations & supporting schedules.
*Preparation of year end audit files.
*Liaising with external auditors and tax advisers Business Services Business Partnering.
*Monthly costs centre reporting and regular update meetings with Business Services budget holders.
*Preparation of overheads budget and assist with forecasting 2 Other.
*Process and policy documenting.
*Assisting with key projects as required.
*Provide cover and assistance to the team as required, enabling the team to adapt to meet tight deadlines and often conflicting demands.
Candidate Profile
*Qualified ACA from practice, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
*Strong Excel skills
*Flexible to adapt to changing circumstances with a hands on attitude
*Methodical with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
*Strong communication skills with the ability to deal with colleagues across the firm
*Pro-active and demonstrable experience of using initiative
*Experience of Aderant Practice Management System an advantage
