English Teacher - Short Term Cover (6-8 Weeks)
Location: Central Manchester
Start Date: After Easter
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary
About the Role
Aspire People are working in partnership with a well-established and supportive secondary school in central Manchester to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher for a short-term cover role. This is a full-time position, expected to last between 6-8 weeks, starting after the Easter break.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
* Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with the national curriculum
* Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
* Support students to achieve their full academic potential
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
* A valid DBS on the Update Service (essential for a quick turnaround)
* References covering the last 2 years of employment
* Strong classroom management skills and a proactive attitude
