The Role
You will manage a caseload of predominantly fast track Defendant Employer’s Liability and Public Liability (EL/PL) claims, with some exposure to lower-value multi-track matters. The work is varied and engaging, largely retail-focused and covers the full litigation lifecycle—from initial instruction through to trial, with some pre-litigation involvement where required.
You’ll benefit from a modern case management system and a well-structured, supportive team environment, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality legal work while continuing to develop your technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage a caseload of Defendant EL/PL claims (primarily fast track)
*Handle matters through the full litigation process, including trial preparation
*Assist with pre-litigation work where necessary
*Liaise with clients, insurers and counsel
*Ensure compliance with relevant protocols and court procedures
About You
*A minimum of 1 year’s experience handling Defendant EL/PL litigation is essential
*Confident managing your own caseload independently
*Strong litigation, negotiation and analytical skills
*A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
*Well-organised, proactive and client-focused
