Workshop Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical)
Dursley – Workshop-based - Days, M-F – Full time, permanent – £30,000 to £40,000 DOE + benefits


Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit a Workshop Engineer to support refurbishment, maintenance and repair of specialist vehicles and associated equipment.
This role is suited to a practical, hands-on engineer with either mechanical or electrical experience, looking to develop within a specialist fleet environment.


Key responsibilities
*Carry out mechanical and/or electrical engineering work on specialist vehicles
*Support full refurbishment and rebuild projects
*Diagnose faults and carry out robust repairs
*Install, modify and maintain vehicle systems and components
*Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and job packs
*Ensure all work is completed to a high standard with a focus on safety and quality


The Person
*Experience in a workshop or engineering environment
*Mechanical and/or electrical skillset
*Ability to fault-find and carry out repairs independently
*Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset


Desirable
*Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical or similar)
*Experience with vehicles, plant or heavy equipment
*Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics or auto electrics
