Job Description:
Elevation Recruitment Group are partnered with a leading multi-channel distributor of business supplies across the UK and Ireland. With a large-scale logistics operation, national distribution network, and a portfolio of well-established brands, the organisation delivers essential products and services to workplaces across multiple sectors.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Officer to play a key role in ensuring that all products sourced, purchased, and distributed meet regulatory, safety, and environmental compliance standards across a global supply chain.
This is a central role within the organisation, acting as the subject-matter expert for product compliance across UK, European, and Far East markets. The successful candidate will combine strong technical regulatory knowledge with supplier engagement and a proactive approach to risk management.
As Compliance Officer, you will work closely with Buying, Category, Product Development, and Supply Chain teams to embed compliance into product lifecycle decisions and ensure robust governance across all sourced products.
Duties & Responsibilities:
*Manage regulatory compliance for all products across multiple regions
*Maintain expert knowledge of key frameworks including EUDR, PPWR, RoHS, and the SUP Directive
*Lead supplier compliance and due diligence across the UK, Europe, China, and Southeast Asia
*Review, verify, and maintain declarations of conformity, testing documentation, and certifications
*Work with Buying, Category, and Product Development teams to integrate compliance into decision-making
*Monitor regulatory changes and communicate impacts across the business
*Deliver training and guidance on product compliance requirements
*Maintain compliance records, logs, and reporting for internal and external audits
*Identify compliance risks and drive corrective actions
*Support continuous improvement of compliance processes and governance

*Proven experience managing product compliance within UK, EU, and Far East supply chains
*Strong understanding of EUDR, PPWR, RoHS, and SUP regulatory requirements
*Knowledge of supply chain risk, product testing processes, and certification pathways
*Experience within office products, consumer goods, distribution, or retail
*Familiarity with additional regulations such as REACH, WEEE, FSC, or PEFC
*Experience implementing compliance management systems
