Senior Town Planner (MRTPI Chartered)

Are you an experienced MRTPI Chartered Town Planner ready to take the next step in your career? I’m currently working with a highly regarded, market-leading planning consultancy to recruit a Senior Town Planner for their established and growing Birmingham team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and well-respected planning practice with a strong pipeline of high-profile projects across the UK.
The RoleAs a Senior Town Planner, you will play a key role in delivering a wide range of planning projects, working closely with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams. You’ll be involved in both strategic and development-led planning, providing expert advice and leading on applications and appeals.
Key Responsibilities*Leading and managing planning applications and appeals
*Providing clear, commercially focused planning advice to clients
*Preparing high-quality planning reports and supporting documents
*Managing client relationships and contributing to business development
*Mentoring junior team members and supporting their professional growth
*Engaging with local authorities and key stakeholders
About You*MRTPI Chartered (essential)
*Proven experience in a consultancy or private sector planning role
*Strong knowledge of UK planning policy and procedures
*Excellent communication and report-writing skills
*Commercial awareness and a client-focused mindset
*Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
