Job Description:
Team Manager – Contextual Safeguarding
Location: Lancaster (Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days from home)
Contract: Full-time
Rate: £42 per hour
Interviews: ASAP
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role within a recently remodelled, multi-disciplinary and innovative service that is transforming how we safeguard young people facing risks outside the home. About the Role
As Team Manager, you will lead a passionate and skilled team delivering high-quality specialist services to children, young people, families and carers. You will play a key role in shaping and driving forward contextual safeguarding across the North, ensuring effective assessment, timely support, and robust risk management.
You will also support the Senior Manager in the development, delivery and continuous improvement of services, helping to ensure vulnerable children are protected from harm and given the best possible life chances.
Key Responsibilities*Lead, manage and inspire a high-performing team
*Ensure children, young people, carers and families receive first-class assessments and timely, effective support
*Champion trauma-informed, relational and strengths-based practice
*Oversee risk identification and management to safeguard vulnerable young people
*Contribute to the strategic development of contextual safeguarding services
*Support high-quality placements and services for children in care, those receiving short breaks, and care leavers
*Work collaboratively with partners to deliver strong outcomes
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
*Has strong experience in safeguarding, particularly supporting young people at risk of exploitation
*Is passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable children and families
*Demonstrates empathetic, clear and collaborative leadership
*Has experience managing teams within children’s services or a related field
*Is driven to influence change and innovate within contextual safeguarding
