A highly organized and commercially minded Commercial Finance Analyst is being sought for a dynamic role. In this position, you will work strategically with various teams while supporting Commercial Finance Managers across multiple divisions. The role involves providing robust financial analysis and serving as a trusted, credible commercial voice within the organization.
As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will deliver timely financial insights to aid commercial decision-making, with a particular focus on digital publishing.
Key responsibilities include:
*Taking ownership of weekly reporting, offering clear analysis and actionable insights to guide digital sales strategy and performance.
*Managing and monitoring divisional Marketing and Publicity budgets, identifying risks and opportunities related to ROI.
*Recording, reporting, and analysing the financial performance of joint venture arrangements, including issuing statements to relevant stakeholders.
*Producing retrospective title and author profitability reviews, sub-rights analysis, stock reporting, and backlist sales analysis across home, export, and digital channels.

The ideal candidate will be actively pursuing a recognised qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) and have experience in commercial finance or financial reporting.Key qualifications include:

*An analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and confidence working with large datasets.

*The ability to build strong relationships with non-finance teams by translating data into clear insights that support decision-making.
A proactive approach focused on solutions is essential, along with a genuine interest in commercial performance. Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling expertise are required. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, or digital sales would be advantageous.
