Your new role
As the Receptionist, you will be a key point of contact for clients, financial advisers, colleagues, and visitors-both in person and over the telephone.Your main responsibility will be operating the central switchboard, promptly triaging and directing calls to the appropriate departments while maintaining a high standard of customer service. You will also manage in-person visitor services, ensuring a warm, professional welcome and a well-maintained reception area. In addition, you will provide general administrative support across the business.
What you’ll need to succeed
*At least 1 year’s experience in a switchboard or customer service role.
*GCSEs (A-C) in English and Maths, or equivalent.
*Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
*Ability to manage high call volumes with professionalism and calm.
*A reliable, punctual, and well-presented approach.
Desirable:
*Experience using switchboard/telephony systems.
*Experience within financial services or other corporate environments.
Attributes:
*A positive, "can-do" attitude.
*Friendly, approachable interpersonal style.
*Strong teamwork and communication skills.
*Ability to multitask, prioritise, and stay organised.
*Professional appearance and demeanour.
