What you will do:
- Lead the Educational Psychology Service by providing strategic direction and ensuring the delivery of high-quality psychological services for children and young people.
- Manage service delivery and performance, overseeing daily operations, allocating workloads, and ensuring timely completion of statutory duties such as EHCP assessments.
- Drive service improvement and transformation by identifying development areas, implementing change programmes, and improving outcomes, particularly in response to inspections or backlogs.
- Supervise and develop staff, including managing Educational Psychologists and trainees, supporting their professional growth and maintaining practice standards.
- Advise senior leaders and partners by providing expert psychological input to local authority leaders, schools, and multi-agency forums, shaping the SEND strategy.
- Ensure quality and compliance by maintaining high standards in line with the SEND Code of Practice, safeguarding, and professional guidelines.
- Manage budgets and resources, overseeing financial planning, staffing, and traded services to ensure sustainability.
- Strengthen multi-agency working by collaborating with education, health, and social care sectors to deliver coordinated support for children and families.
