Terminal Development Project Manager
*Job Type: Full-time, 2-year Temporary Contract

*Pay Rate: £550 - £650 per day (Inside IR35 / Umbrella)
Doncaster Council are seeking a Terminal Development Project Manager to oversee a major refurbishment project at Doncaster Sheffield Airport. This role is crucial for enhancing passenger security processes, regulatory compliance, and commercial performance within a live airport terminal environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Lead the delivery of terminal development projects, focusing on aviation security infrastructure, passenger processing areas, and retail enhancements.
*Manage the project lifecycle from concept to construction, commissioning, and handover.
*Ensure compliance with aviation security regulations and statutory requirements.
*Coordinate with operational, security, and commercial teams to ensure project deliverables are safe, compliant, and operationally effective.
*Act as the client representative, managing contractors, designers, and retail partners.
*Oversee project budgets, schedules, risks, and change control, providing clear reporting to senior stakeholders.
*Support audits, approvals, and regulatory assurance activities related to terminal changes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in managing terminal, building, or passenger-facing infrastructure projects within an airport or similarly regulated environment.
*Strong understanding of airport terminal operations and safety-critical project management.
*Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of working with operations, security, and commercial teams, as well as contractors and regulators.
*Proficient in project management software such as MS Project or P6.
*Qualified project manager, ideally certified through APM or RICS.
*Ability to work on-site at the airport three to four days a week with some flexibility for hybrid working.
Desirable Skills:
*Experience in aviation security infrastructure or screening facilities.
*Knowledge of retail or commercial fit-out projects within transport hubs.
*Familiarity with aviation security, regulatory, or assurance frameworks.
*Experience managing phased works in constrained operational spaces.
