Accounts Assistant - Temp (to possible perm) - Immediate Start
Swinton (M27)
£28,000 - £30,000
37.5 hours per week (flexible working hours, typically 8:30am-4:30pm)

Our client are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team based in Swinton. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to join a welcoming business.
You’ll be working as part of a close-knit finance team of 4, supporting across both purchase ledger and credit control functions.

Key Responsibilities
Purchase Ledger:
*Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
*Reconciling supplier statements
*Setting up BACS and same-day payments (including multi-currency)
*Managing monthly company credit card expenses and receipts
*Setting up new supplier accounts
*Raising intercompany recharge invoices
*Handling supplier queries via email and telephone
Credit Control: (Supporting the Credit Controller)
*Posting and allocating daily customer payments
*Sending invoices and statements to customers
*Chasing outstanding payments (including proforma and standard accounts)
*Raising credit notes where required
*Dealing with customer queries via email and telephone
About You:
*Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant role
*Confident working across both purchase ledger and credit control
*Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
*Comfortable communicating with suppliers and customers
