Finance Assistant
up to £30,000 base salary plus bonus and benefits

The Role:

We are pleased to be partnered with a well-established and growing business as they look to appoint a Finance Assistant to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation during a period of transformation and growth. Sitting within a collaborative finance team, the role will support day-to-day financial operations while contributing to process improvements and broader team success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
• Reconcile supplier statements and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare payment runs and support treasury-related activities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Assist with bank reconciliations.
• Work closely with internal departments to resolve finance-related queries.
• Support month-end processes, including journal postings and reporting.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes.

The Ideal Candidate:

• High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Previous experience using accounting software is beneficial but not essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Eager to learn and develop a career within Finance.
• Proactive, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to take ownership and learn from mistakes.
