Job Description:
PHP Developer (Yii Framework) – Contract
Location: Hybrid (2–3 days onsite)
Rate: Up to £400 per day (Outside IR35)
Contract Length: 6 months
Our client, a leading organisation within the digital solutions space, is seeking a PHP Developer with strong Yii framework experience to support the delivery of scalable, high-quality web applications on an initial 6-month contract.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to key projects, enhance existing platforms, and work within a collaborative, delivery-focused environment.
What you’ll do
*Develop, maintain, and optimise web applications using PHP and Yii
*Collaborate with front-end developers and designers to deliver seamless user experiences
*Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
*Participate in code reviews and uphold development best practices
*Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications
You’ll work closely with product, design, and QA teams to deliver robust solutions at pace.
What we’re looking for
*Strong commercial experience with PHP development
*Proven experience using the Yii framework (Yii2 preferred)
*Solid understanding of MVC architecture
*Experience working with MySQL or similar relational databases
*Familiarity with RESTful APIs and version control (Git)
The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced contract environment.
