Stores & Workshop Apprentice – Redhill, Surrey
Salary: Apprentice Level
Location: Redhill, Surrey
Looking to kickstart your career in engineering, logistics, or technical operations? This hands-on apprenticeship offers the perfect opportunity to learn, grow, and develop real industry skills within a busy workshop and stores environment. What you’ll be doing
You’ll support both the workshop and stores teams, learning a wide range of practical and technical tasks, including:
Workshop responsibilities
*Assisting with functional testing of equipment.
*Helping with the mechanical assembly and mounting of hardware, including drilling, tapping and cutting.
*Preparing cables and connectors ready for termination.
*Supporting the assembly and wiring of 19" panel systems.
*Keeping the workshop safe, clean, and compliant with QHS&E procedures.
*Ensuring accurate maintenance of workshop records, such as job files and test specifications.
Stores responsibilities
*Assisting with picking, checking, packing, goods in/out and general stock handling.
*Helping maintain accurate stock records and documentation.
*Supporting serial-number tracking, updating databases and warranty logs.
*Participating in stock takes and cycle counts.
*Supporting facilities tasks, such as moving equipment and helping with small maintenance activities.
*Ensuring a tidy, well-organised, rubbish-free environment daily.
*Learning safe working practices around hazardous goods and following relevant procedures.
What you’ll need
*A good level of general secondary education.
*Willingness to learn, develop new skills, and support multiple teams.
*The ability to manage physical tasks including manual handling in a workshop and stores setting.
*A proactive attitude, good communication skills, and strong attention to detail.
