Manual Machinist
Sheffield
£35,000 - £40,000 + Overtime
We’re working with an engineering business in Sheffield who specialise in the repair and overhaul of rotating equipment, including pumps and associated components.
They are looking to recruit an apprentice-trained Manual Machinist to join their workshop team.
The Role
*Operating manual lathes, milling machines and boring machines
*Machining components such as shafts, bearings and general engineering parts
*Working from engineering drawings
*Carrying out repair and one-off machining work
*Use of pillar and radial drills
*Completing work to a high standard
What They’re Looking For
*Apprentice trained in mechanical engineering / machining
*Strong manual machining background
*Able to work from engineering drawings
*Experience within a workshop environment
What’s on Offer
*£35,000 - £40,000 basic
*Overtime available
*Stable, long-term position
*Varied work
*Day shifts with an early finish on Fridays
