Estimator (Assistant to Senior Level)

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience) + package
The Company
Our client is an established main contractor based in Leeds, specialising in fit-out and refurbishment projects across the commercial, industrial, and retail sectors. They have built a strong reputation through a mix of competitive tendering and repeat business, with a stable team where employees typically stay 5+ years.
Projects range from £30K to £3M, with a strong pipeline of work in the £500K range.


The Role
Due to continued growth, our client is looking to appoint an Estimator, with consideration given to both Assistant and Senior-level candidates.
You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates across a range of fit-out and refurbishment projects, working closely with the commercial and delivery teams.


Key Responsibilities
*Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
*Analyse drawings, specifications, and project requirements
*Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations
*Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
*Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders
*Support bid strategy and contribute to winning new work
*Ensure all submissions are completed accurately and on time


Requirements
*Experience in estimating within construction (fit-out/refurbishment preferred)
*Open to Assistant through to Senior-level candidates
*Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
*Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
*Good communication and organisational skills
