Job Description:
Reed Business Support are recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor on behalf of our valued client. This Customer Service Advisor opportunity is ideal for an individual who is confident, proactive, and able to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment. As the appointed Customer Service Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the wider team and contributing to the smooth running of daily operations.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in Aylesford, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern between 8:00am and 6:00pm.
About the Role:
• Handling inbound calls and emails from customers regarding deliveries, collections and order queries
• Liaising daily with warehouse teams, drivers and transport planners to resolve issues and provide timely updates
• Monitoring delivery statuses and proactively communicating with customers where delays or changes occur
• Logging all customer interactions accurately on the CRM system and maintaining up-to-date records
• Investigating complaints, identifying root causes and working with internal teams to prevent reoccurrence
• Supporting the wider operations team with reporting, data entry and general administrative tasks
• Delivering a professional, solution-focused service in a busy logistics and distribution environment
About You:
• Experience within a customer service role (contact centre, logistics, transport, retail or similar)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a calm and confident telephone manner
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple queries and priorities at once
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
• Confident using Microsoft Office and customer databases/CRM systems
• A team player with a proactive approach to problem solving and a focus on delivering a great customer experience
• Knowledge or experience of logistics, distribution, or transport environments is desirable but not essential
