A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Director / Financial Controller to join a forward-thinking and fast-growing UK-based business operating within a larger international group.
This is a pivotal leadership role, offering the chance to shape financial strategy, influence decision-making at senior level, and drive continuous improvement across finance and business operations.
The RoleYou will take full responsibility for the financial and administrative functions of a UK business unit, acting as a key partner to the Managing Director and wider leadership team.
This is a highly visible position where you will play a central role in steering business performance, ensuring robust financial controls, and supporting strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities*Oversee monthly and annual accounts, including group reporting
*Deliver cost, profitability, and revenue analysis
*Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
*Develop and monitor KPIs to support business performance
*Strengthen internal controls, processes, and financial governance
*Support strategic decision-making alongside the senior leadership team
*Contribute to board-level discussions
*Lead and support projects to improve efficiency, including automation initiatives
*Support ongoing development and optimisation of business systems (ERP and reporting tools)
*Provide guidance to line managers on finance-related and administrative HR matters
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement*Manage and support a small finance team responsible for accounting, payroll, and administrative functions
*Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across the business
*Collaborate closely with both local and international leadership teams
*Play a key role in shaping company culture and supporting colleagues across departments
About You*Proven experience leading finance in a small to medium-sized UK business (approx. £5m-£20m turnover)
*Strong technical and commercial financial expertise
*Qualified or degree-educated in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar
*Confident communicator with the ability to influence at senior level
*Analytical, structured, and solutions-focused
*Collaborative, approachable, and pragmatic
*High level of integrity and professionalism
