Job Description:
Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a specialist secondary provision in North London to appoint a dedicated and adaptable SEMH Teacher.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator who is confident delivering core subjects (English, Maths and Science) while supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The Role:
*Deliver engaging and accessible lessons across core subjects
*Adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs and abilities
*Support students with behavioural, emotional and mental health challenges
*Build positive, consistent relationships that support student progress
*Work collaboratively with support staff to create a structured and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification (essential)
*Experience teaching in an SEN, SEMH or alternative provision setting (or strong mainstream experience with behaviour needs)
*Confidence teaching across multiple core subjects
*Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
*A calm, resilient and empathetic approach
*A genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable learners
Desirable:
*Team Teach training (or similar behaviour management training)
