Job Description:
Tradewind Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a specialist secondary provision in North London to recruit passionate and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistants.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people aged 11-18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school provides a nurturing and structured environment where every student is supported to reach their full potential-both academically and personally.
The Role:
*Supporting students with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
*Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging, tailored lessons
*Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
*Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, behavioural needs, or additional needs
*A calm, patient, and resilient approach
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
Desirable:
*Team Teach training (or similar behaviour management training)
