We’re recruiting on behalf of an established engineering/manufacturing client who are looking to hire a Mechanical Inspector to join their Quality team, reporting to the QA Manager. This role is responsible for ensuring mechanical components, sub-assemblies and finished items meet engineering, quality and compliance requirements, supporting production continuity and customer expectations.
Mechanical Inspector - Key responsibilities - Quality, Inspection, Manufacturing, Engineering
*Inspect incoming components against drawings, specifications and purchase order requirements

*Carry out in-process and final inspections of mechanical parts and assemblies

*Identify, document and raise non-conformances in line with QMS procedures

*Support root cause analysis and corrective actions where required

*Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and technical specifications

*Complete dimensional inspection using manual measuring tools and CMM (where applicable)

*Maintain calibration status and traceability of inspection equipment

*Record inspection results and quality data accurately in the ERP system

*Support goods-in and goods-out checks during busy periods

*Maintain housekeeping standards and follow safety/compliance requirements

Mechanical Inspector - Experience - Quality, Inspection, Manufacturing, Engineering
*Mechanical engineering background or strong practical inspection experience

*Confident reading and interpreting mechanical engineering drawings

*Mechanical inspection or quality assurance experience

*ERP experience and good MS Office skills

*Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
