Job Description:
Trainee Paraplanner / Financial Planning Administrator
Bristol (City Centre) | Full-time, Office-based | £30,000 – £35,000
We’re excited to be growing our brand-new Bristol office and are looking for a motivated Trainee Paraplanner or Financial Planning Administrator — or someone with experience in both — to join our small but ambitious team.
This is a unique opportunity to become part of a newly established office with big plans for growth over the coming years. If you enjoy variety, close client relationships, and being a key part of building something from the ground up, this could be the role for you.
About the Role
You will work closely with the Bristol Adviser, supporting both day-to-day operations and client-facing activity. This is a hands-on, varied position where no two days are the same.
Key responsibilities include:
*Daily administration tasks such as meeting preparation, contacting clients, processing applications, and managing documentation.
*Attending client meetings to take notes and help build strong ongoing client relationships.
*Supporting a smooth client advice journey and ensuring high-quality service at every stage.
*Contributing to the growth of the new Bristol office and being an integral part of its development.
As this is a small, collaborative office, the role is fully office-based, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants from either an administration or paraplanning background — or someone who has done a mix of both. What matters most is a proactive mindset, strong organisational skills, and a willingness to be involved in all aspects of supporting the financial planning process.
This role would suit someone who:
*Enjoys being part of a close-knit team
*Is comfortable working in a fast-growing environment
*Values developing long-term relationships with clients
*Wants to grow with the business as the office expands
Benefits & Package
*Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)
*Death in Service: 4x salary
*Excellent Pension: Up to 11% employer contribution (when employee contributes 5%) – 16% total
*Holiday: 20 days + Bank Holidays + Christmas shutdown (3–4 days)
*Holiday increases by 1 extra day per year for the first 5 years (up to 25 days)
*Employee Ownership: As part of our EOT structure, you become a part-owner of the company with access to discretionary bonuses
*Full Study Support:*CII Diploma exam fees covered
*External training costs covered
*Study time during work hours available
