Chalk Hill Group are supporting a fast-growing and highly respected accountancy and advisory firm in their search for a Personal Tax Assistant Manager, based in Wokingham.
This role offers the chance to work with a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals, sole traders, business owners and trusts, within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. Responsibilities:
*Manage a portfolio of c.150 personal tax clients
*Prepare and review personal tax returns
*Handle HMRC enquiries and disclosures
*Support Making Tax Digital (MTD) filings
*Prepare P11Ds and Capital Gains Tax returns
*Liaise directly with clients and HMRC
*Assist on advisory work (residence, CGT, IHT, trusts)
*Manage deadlines and workflow effectively
Candidate Profile:
*CTA qualified
*Extensive personal tax experience
*Excellent communication and organisational skills, with ability to explain complex tax provisions to clients
*Experience with tax software (CCH desirable)
*Knowledge of residence rules and trust taxation advantageous
