Are you a payroll professional who thrives on autonomy and takes pride in getting things right first time? Butler Rose are working exclusively with a brilliant business in Warrington who are looking for a confident and experienced Payroll Manager to take full ownership of payroll operation.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a standalone role where you’ll be trusted to run the entire payroll function, make improvements, and truly make it your own.
What You’ll Be Doing
*Running the end-to-end payroll process with accuracy and confidence
*Processing salaries, bonuses, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.)
*Managing starters, leavers, and all payroll changes
*Ensuring full compliance with HMRC regulations, including RTI submissions
*Being the go-to expert for payroll queries across the business
*Handling pension contributions and liaising with providers
*Supporting year-end processes (P60s, P11Ds where required)
*Working closely with HR and Finance to keep everything running smoothly
What We’re Looking For
*Proven experience in a standalone or senior payroll role
*Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation
*Confident using payroll systems (Sage, ADP, or similar)
*Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
*A proactive, self-sufficient approach
*Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
