About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant secondary school in Newham. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students across a range of subjects and abilities, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
*Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
*Work with individuals and small groups of students to reinforce learning
*Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources
*Provide targeted support for students with additional needs (including SEND)
*Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
*Support students’ emotional wellbeing and encourage positive attitudes to learning
*Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities where appropriate
About You
*A genuine passion for working with young people and supporting their development
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude
*Good literacy and numeracy skills
*Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
*Previous experience in a school or similar setting is desirable but not essential
