You’ll be part of a collaborative HR function that is striving to raise standards, support the business through transformation, and act as a true partner to leaders across operations.
Your new role
As HR Business Partner, you’ll balance strategic contribution with hands-on HR delivery, working closely with senior leaders to embed the people strategy and support the organisation’s objectives. You will:
*Build strong, influential relationships with managers and leaders across your business areas
*Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on HR policy, best practice and risk management
*Lead complex and high profile employee relations cases through to conclusion
*Partner on organisational change, restructuring and TUPE processes
*Drive culture and engagement initiatives, supporting wellbeing and retention
*Support recruitment, role design, reward benchmarking and talent planning
*Coach and develop managers in effective people management
*Contribute to HR projects including training programmes, HRIS developments, and reporting cycles
*Analyse people data and produce meaningful insights to support decision making
*Champion continuous improvement across the HR function

What you’ll need to succeed
*Minimum 5 years’ generalist HR experience, ideally in a unionised or complex environment
*CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent)
*Strong experience managing complex employee relations cases
*Excellent knowledge of UK employment law, HR policy and best practice
*A commercial mindset with the ability to balance risk, cost and business impact
*Exceptional communication and influencing skills
*Ability to analyse data and use insight to drive outcomes
*Strong organisational and project management capability
*Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal confidently with sensitive situations
*Flexibility to travel to other UK sites with occasional overnight stays
*(Desirable) Experience in Retail, Distribution, Logistics or Manufacturing
*(Desirable) Exposure to HRIS systems such as Dayforce or Workday
