Job Description:
Your new role
Desian Education are proud to be supporting a highly inclusive and well-regarded mainstream primary school in Winsford as they are looking to appoint an experienced and dedicated teaching assistant for a long-term contract. This is a temporary full-time position based within an SEMH designated provision.
You will support the class teacher and SENCO in the delivery of a trauma-informed curriculum, ensure that the individual requirements, education and needs of each pupil are not only met but at the heart of all operations. You will:
*Support emotional well-being and self-esteem
*Delivering ELSA interventions
*Work in collaboration with external professionals
*Support during break and lunch-times
*Implement a myriad of positive behaviour strategies
What you need to succeed
*Full "Right to Work" for the UK
*Experience supporting trauma and using trauma-informed methods
*Experience working with SEMH
*Be willing to undergo an Enhanced Children’s DBS check
*Relevant referenceable classroom experience
