Hours of work: 08:00 - 17:00 (Overtime available)
Salary : £12.80 per hour
Job Type: Full time/permanent
We are recruiting an Assembly Operative to join our clients busy production team. The successful candidate will take responsibility for assembling products to a high standard, ensuring accuracy, quality and consistency in every unit produced.
*Experience in carpentry/woodwork would be desirable but not essential*
Key responsibilities:
*Accurately assemble components and finished products following written instructions, drawings and work orders
*Perform quality checks at each stage and report any defects
*Maintain a clean, safe and organised workstation
*Meet daily production targets while maintaining high standards of workmanship
*Assist with packing and labelling finished goods as required
*Complete basic production records and follow standard operating procedures
Essential skills and experience:
*Proven ability to assemble products to a high standard with strong attention to detail
*Ability to read and follow assembly instructions and simple technical drawings
*Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
*Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment is advantageous
Working conditions:
*Fast-paced production environment
*Standing for long periods and occasional lifting of moderate weights
*Flexible shift patterns may be required depending on production needs
Please note that due to the location of the client own transport is essential.
