Job Description:
The role leads the strategy and delivery of a major multi-channel communications campaign for St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity’s centenary, shaping compelling content and media in partnership with the BBC. It also manages the communications team, drives integrated working, oversees celebrity engagement, and ensures consistent, inclusive, high-quality messaging across all platforms.

Description
*Lead the development and delivery of a strategic communications plan for the anniversary appeal and year-long centenary programme.
*Create and manage a multi-channel communications approach spanning social media, editorial, press and wider media.
*Develop pitches and content ideas for BBC programmes and other media, ensuring all stories and case studies meet safeguarding and lived-experience standards.
*Contribute to the case for support for the 100th Appeal, ensuring strong, coherent messaging and narrative throughout the campaign.
*Produce compelling campaign content by gathering impactful stories and case studies from people supported by the organisation.
*Work with the St Martin’s archivist and internal teams to shape an accurate and meaningful historical narrative for the appeal.
*Develop and deliver PR moments throughout the centenary year to enhance visibility and media coverage.
*Lead a celebrity engagement strategy, managing relationships with high-profile supporters connected to the BBC and Radio 4.
*Provide leadership and direction to the communications team, managing a team of 2, and any freelance support to ensure effective delivery of the campaign.
*Collaborate across internal teams and St Martin’s family partners to align messaging, support fundraising integration, and ensure consistent, high-quality communications across all channels.
Profile
*Extensive senior-level communications experience, with a proven ability to lead high-impact, multi-channel campaigns that engage diverse audiences.
*Strong track record delivering integrated campaigns across social media, editorial, press and wider media to amplify organisational messaging.
*Experience managing all digital communication elements, including websites, content development and digital campaign delivery.
*Proven ability to lead a communications function or major campaign, shaping compelling themes, narratives and strategic messaging.
*Demonstrated experience collaborating with media organisations and broadcasters to secure editorial opportunities and co-create content.
*Exceptional storytelling capability, crafting powerful, audience-led narratives and using case studies ethically and responsibly.
*Strong stakeholder management skills, working confidently with senior leaders, internal teams, fundraising partners and external collaborators.
*Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, with added value from experience in the charity/social impact sector, celebrity engagement, and delivering large-scale or broadcast-partnered campaigns.
Job Offer
*Salary - £55,000 per annum.
*12m fixed term contract, working directly underneath the Director of Income Generation and Engagement.
*Hybrid working, 2 days per week in central London office.
Timelines:
