Job Description:
Finance Administrator
*Hourly Rate: £14–£15 DOE
*Location: Carlisle area
*Contract: Temporary (approx. 3–6 months)
*Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a Finance Administrator to join a well-established organisation in the Carlisle area. This temporary role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, and confident working with financial systems and data. The Finance Administrator will support our busy finance function, ensuring smooth financial operations across the business.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Raise sales ledger invoices and handle related queries.
*Manage incoming and outgoing post and respond to internal and external telephone calls.
*Maintain and monitor the shared finance mailbox.
*Process purchase invoices, including Web Expenses.
*Support credit control activities.
*Assist with sales invoicing and general finance administration.
*Produce analysis and reporting as required.
*Provide support and cover for finance colleagues.
*Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR and finance regulations.
*Follow all Health & Safety procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Strong Excel knowledge.
*Experience using accounting software (Pegasus Opera desirable).
*Good proficiency in Microsoft Office.
*Understanding of GDPR and data privacy standards.
*Strong attention to detail with an analytical, methodical approach.
*Confident problem-solver who can take tasks through to completion.
*Works accurately under tight deadlines.
*Comfortable working independently and within a team.
*Strong IT skills and confident using finance systems.
