An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Account Manager to join a growing organisation operating across innovative and fast-moving sectors. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building strong client relationships, driving engagement, and delivering commercial success.
As the main point of contact for a portfolio of key accounts, you will take ownership of client relationships, ensuring excellent communication, smooth project delivery, and high-quality service at all times. Alongside this, you will play a proactive role in generating new opportunities through outbound calls, nurturing leads, and supporting wider business development activity.
We are looking for a commercially minded, organised, and confident communicator who enjoys managing multiple priorities and contributing to long-term client success.
Key Responsibilities
*Act as primary contact for client accounts, maintaining strong communication and service standards.
*Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities aligned with client objectives.
*Conduct outbound calls and proactive outreach to build new relationships and strengthen existing ones.
*Build trusted relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders.
*Develop and deliver tailored account growth strategies.
*Provide clear updates, reports, and insights to clients.
*Maintain accurate client information and reporting through CRM systems (HubSpot).
*Gather client feedback and support continuous service improvement.
*Coach and mentor Account Executives to support their development.
*Report on progress, pipelines, and emerging opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
*Strong background in account management, business development, or sales.
*Proven track record within at least one of the following sectors: decarbonisation, marine, contracting, or construction.
*Confident in outbound calling and developing relationships from first contact to long-term partnership.
*Skilled communicator with strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
*Excellent organisational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
*Proactive, solution-focused attitude with a practical approach to challenges.
*Experience using HubSpot (or similar CRM) to track activity and performance.
Skills & Attributes
*Ideally 5+ years’ experience in client management or business development.
*Honest, transparent, and a collaborative team player.
*Adaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
*Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence.
*Commercially aware and aligned with organisational goals.
*Resilient, driven, and committed to achieving results.
*Excellent written and verbal communication.
*Proficient with HubSpot and MS Office.
