Motor Vehicle Lecturer
*Hourly Rate: £30-£40
*Location: Hertfordshire
*Job Type: Part-time/Full-time
Day-to-Day of the Role of a MV Lecturer:
As a Motor Vehicle Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across various programmes, including full-time, part-time, apprenticeships, and adult learning. Your role will involve:
*Planning and delivering engaging lessons in diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.
*Teaching and assessing students across different levels and programmes.
*Supporting learners to achieve their goals and progress into employment or further education.
*Promoting health and safety, industry relevance, and inclusive learning.
*Liaising with employers, contributing to curriculum development, and participating in quality assurance activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Relevant Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Motor Vehicle Maintenance/Engineering or related discipline.
*Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed) or willingness to work towards one.
*Recent experience in the automotive industry or teaching in a motor vehicle environment.
*Up-to-date knowledge of modern vehicle technologies and diagnostic procedures.
*Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
*Commitment to supporting learners from diverse backgrounds.
*Proficiency with necessary software.
*Desirable: Assessor and/or IQA qualifications (TAQA, A1, V1), experience with hybrid and electric vehicle technology, and previous experience delivering apprenticeship programmes.
