Head of Catering Operations – Education catering - £68,000 + package and enhanced pension - London
We are on the hunt for an experienced and commercially focused Head of Catering Operations to oversee multi-site catering services. With responsibility for a £20m+ operational budge, this is a key leadership role driving performance, growth, and service excellence.
The Role
*Lead the strategic and operational delivery of catering services across 80+ sites.
*Drive business development and growth, including new contracts and service expansion.
*Oversee financial performance, including P&L, budgeting, and KPI management.
*Ensure high standards of food quality, safety, and compliance.
*Build strong relationships with stakeholders including schools, partners, and customers.
*Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
About you
*Proven experience in multi-site catering operations (education, public sector, or commercial).
*Strong financial and commercial acumen.
*Demonstrated success leading large, diverse teams.
*In-depth knowledge of food standards, nutrition, and regulatory compliance.
*Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
*A strategic mindset with the ability to drive continuous improvement and change.
