DevOps Engineer – eDV Cleared
Ncounter is supporting a specialist consultancy delivering into highly sensitive National Security programmes, now seeking an eDV Cleared DevOps Engineer to join a greenfield platform build.
This is a highly technical role blending software engineering and DevOps, with a focus on building secure, scalable systems while advising clients on engineering best practice.
You will design and optimise CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and contribute directly to backend development using Python or Java. Alongside delivery, you will act as a consultant, helping shape DevOps strategy and platform evolution within a secure environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling
*Develop backend services in Python or Java
*Implement infrastructure as code across cloud environments (AWS preferred)
*Enhance system reliability, scalability and performance
*Advise stakeholders on DevOps strategy and engineering practices
What We’re Looking For
*Active eDV clearance is essential
*Strong software engineering experience in Python or Java
*Proven DevOps or platform engineering background
*Experience with AWS, containerisation and orchestration
*Strong knowledge of CI/CD and automation tooling
*Ability to operate in secure, high-assurance environments
