Job Description:
The Payroll Administrator will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. This position requires a detail-oriented professional to manage payroll activities and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
Client Details
Our client is based in Southampton, and due to a busy period and various ongoing projects, the accountancy team is looking for additional support.
Description
*Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
*Maintain and update payroll records, including salary adjustments, tax codes, and benefits deductions.
*Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and provide clear explanations when necessary.
*Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, including PAYE, National Insurance, and pension contributions.
*Collaborate with the accounting and finance department to reconcile payroll data with financial records.
*Prepare and submit necessary reports to HMRC and other relevant authorities.
*Support audits by providing requested payroll documentation and explanations.
*Continuously review payroll processes to identify and implement improvements.
Profile
A successful Payroll Administrator should have:
*Proven experience in payroll administration.
*Strong knowledge of payroll systems and relevant UK regulations, including PAYE and pensions.
*Attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
*Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
*Excellent organisational and time management skills.
*Effective communication skills for liaising with employees and external stakeholders.
