Job Description:
Subrogated Recoveries – Why consider it?

Because it’s one of the few areas where you can truly stand out.

While many newly qualified solicitors follow well-trodden paths, subrogated recoveries offers something different — a growing, specialist space with relatively little competition and genuine scope to accelerate your career.

If you’re currently working in personal injury on the defender side and are curious about broadening your expertise, this could be the ideal next step.

QED Legal’s client, as part of their continued growth across 2026/2027, is looking to appoint a solicitor at NQ to 2 years’ PQE to join their subrogated recoveries team in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. You’ll work closely alongside one of the most highly regarded Partners in this field, gaining hands-on experience from the outset.

While any exposure to property damage claims would be advantageous, it’s by no means essential — attitude, ambition, and a willingness to learn are what matter most.

This is a rare opportunity to develop a niche specialism early in your career, within a supportive team focused on defended work. Crucially, this is not a top-heavy department — progression is genuinely achievable for those who are motivated to grow.

For further information, please contact Neil Campbell using the details provided.

Having worked closely with this client across the UK in recent years, I can confidently speak to the strength of their culture, the quality of work, and the opportunities available.

I look forward to hearing from you.
