Relationship Support Officer - Islamic Banking Leicester (Fully Office Based - 5 Days)

We are currently recruiting for a Relationship Support Officer to join a growing Islamic Banking & Intermediary team at a well-established international bank, based in Leicester.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in Islamic Banking, relationship management, and credit support, working closely with experienced Relationship Managers in a client-focused environment.
The RoleAs a Relationship Support Officer, you will support the Relationship Manager in the day-to-day management of a client portfolio. You will gain exposure to credit proposals, client servicing, and account monitoring, while developing a strong understanding of Islamic Banking products and client requirements.
This role is ideal for someone with banking experience or strong interest in financial services, looking to develop within a structured and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities*Assist in the preparation and processing of credit proposals, including financial analysis (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow)
*Support the servicing of existing clients and assist with identifying new business opportunities
*Maintain and monitor client accounts, including payments, documentation, and facility performance
*Track and follow up on due dates, renewals, and outstanding documentation
*Respond promptly to client queries and provide high-quality customer service
*Attend client meetings where required and prepare call reports
*Liaise with internal teams including Operations, Credit, and Compliance to ensure smooth service delivery
*Support ongoing account reviews and portfolio monitoring
*Maintain accurate records, including insurance policies, stock reports, and account documentation
Requirements*Degree qualified (preferred but not essential)
*Up to 3 years’ experience within banking or financial services (desirable)
*Strong interest in Islamic Banking and financial products
*Good understanding of financial analysis and reporting
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
*Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
*Team player with a proactive and flexible approach
