The Day to day:
As an Asphalt Plant Operative, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient running of the site. This is a multi-functional position involving asphalt batching, loadout operations, general plant duties and occasional loading shovel work. No two days are the same, and you’ll be part of a supportive team who take pride in delivering high-quality products and excellent service.
*Operating and batching the asphalt plant safely and efficiently.
*Completing plant checks, inspections, maintenance tasks and accurate documentation.
*Operating the weighbridge and loading shovel when required.
*Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality procedures.
*Supporting day-to-day site operations and promoting a strong safety culture.
*Liaising with internal teams, hauliers and customers to ensure smooth daily operations.
*Identifying and reporting faults, near misses or opportunities for improvement.
What you’ll bring:
We’re looking for someone who is motivated, adaptable and eager to learn. Industry experience is beneficial but full training can be provided.
*A positive approach to health & safety.
*Strong communication skills and the ability to stay productive under pressure.
*Good numeracy, literacy and attention to detail.
*A flexible attitude to shifts, including early starts, occasional nights and weekend working.
*Ideally, some experience in an asphalt or production facility (desirable, not essential).
