Job Title - Facilities Engineer
Location: Coalville, Leicestershire
Salary: £44,000
Shift: Monday to Friday (8:00am – 4:30pm)
Job Role of the Facilities Engineer
A great opportunity has become available for a Facilities Engineer to join a large, well-established industrial manufacturing site. Covering a 22,000 sqm facility, this role offers a stable working environment with a strong focus on planned maintenance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
This is an ideal position for a multi-skilled engineer with a mechanical bias who enjoys working across a wide range of site services and facilities systems.
You will be responsible for maintaining and improving all site facilities, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and full compliance with statutory requirements.
Industry – Industrial Manufacturing
Key Responsibilities
*Carry out PPM, testing, and reactive maintenance across site facilities
*Maintain and repair mechanical systems and building services
*Perform basic electrical fault-finding and repairs
*Ensure compliance with all statutory and safety regulations
*Conduct and document inspections using CMMS systems
*Manage contractors, issue permits to work, and ensure safety standards are met
*Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives
*Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise operational disruption
*Assist with installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of assets
*Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability projects
Equipment You Will Work On
*HVAC systems
*Boilers, chillers, and compressed air systems
*Pumps, valves, pipework, and water services
*Electrical systems including lighting, distribution boards, and controls
*Fire alarms, emergency lighting, and sprinkler systems
*Pressure systems and water hygiene systems
Non-Negotiable Requirements
*Experience within a facilities or industrial engineering environment
Requirements for the Facilities Engineer
*Mechanical and basic electrical fault-finding skills
*Engineering qualification (apprenticeship highly desirable)
*Experience working in industrial/manufacturing environments
Desirable Experience
*Background in food or packaging industries
*Experience managing contractors and compliance systems
