Full-time & Part-time Available
We are currently recruiting for SEN Specialist Teaching Assistants to support pupils with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) and complex needs in a specialist SEN setting.
This role involves supporting pupils with a range of needs including autism, complex medical needs, physical disabilities, sensory needs and communication difficulties. Some pupils require personal care, mobility support and 1:1 support throughout the school day.
This is a highly rewarding role and would suit candidates with experience in:
*SEN schools
*Care work
*Support work
*Residential care
*Nursing homes
*Autism support
*Behaviour support
*Personal care roles
The Role*Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
*Assisting with personal care
*Supporting pupils with mobility and physical needs
*Supporting communication and sensory activities
*Working closely with teachers and therapists
*Helping create a safe, supportive learning environment
Requirements*Experience supporting children or adults with SEN, PMLD or complex needs
*Patient, calm and caring nature
*Team Teach or moving & handling training desirable (not essential)
*Comfortable supporting with personal care desireable (not essential)
*DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
