Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Senior Accountant to join our Lancaster-based team.
The RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for a practice-trained accountant who is looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing client accounts, reviewing work completed by junior team members, and ensuring the accurate preparation and finalisation of accounts.
Key Responsibilities*Prepare and review final sets of statutory accounts for a varied client portfolio
*Review accounts prepared by junior accountants and provide constructive feedback
*Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and statutory requirements
*Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and provide financial guidance
*Support the preparation and review of corporation tax returns
*Assist with management accounts and year-end reporting
*Work closely with payroll and wider accountancy teams to deliver a seamless client service
*Mentor and support junior members of the team
About YouTo be considered for this role, you must have:
*Previous experience working within an accountancy practice (this is essential)
*A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
*Proven experience reviewing and signing off final sets of accounts
*Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and compliance requirements
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
*Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients
*The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
