Job Description:
Sales Team Leader
Birmingham - Hybrid (2 Days in Office)
£40,000 Per Annum Plus £12k bonus
As the Sales Team Leader, you will oversee and develop a dedicated internal sales team responsible for managing key European accounts. You’ll ensure the team delivers outstanding service, meets internal KPIs and contributes to profitable sales growth.
You will be the central point of coordination between customers, suppliers, external account managers and internal departments, ensuring smooth project delivery and a consistently high standard of communication.
Key responsibilities include:
*Leading, coaching and motivating a team of 6 within the EU internal sales team
*Managing workload, performance and service levels across the department
*Building strong relationships with key European customers
*Responding to customer enquiries and maximising commercial opportunities
*Promoting the full portfolio of converged IP solutions, including new products
*Negotiating pricing and stock availability with suppliers
*Maintaining accurate CRM project data, pipelines and forecasts
*Overseeing price changes and ensuring correct administration
*Resolving pre- and post-sales issues through cross-functional collaboration
*Driving project reporting and holding regular team meetings
*Attending daily operations meetings and escalating issues where needed
The successful candidate:
*3+ years experience in the distribution industry
*Proven success in sales, meeting individual and team targets
*Experience responding to tenders and large bids
*Strong understanding of purchasing, logistics and project processes
*Confidence negotiating with strong commercial awareness
*IT literate with CRM experience (Maddox knowledge beneficial)
*Knowledge of converged IP solutions or related technologies is an advantage
*A European language is desirable however not essential
