Data Warehouse Manager
3-Month+ Contract |
Bradford
An experienced Data Warehouse Manager is required for our public sector client based in Bradford.
This role requires a blend of leadership, technical data expertise, and deep NHS data knowledge. You’ll oversee the Data Warehouse function while providing hands-on support across data architecture, engineering, and database administration.
Key Responsibilities:
*Line manage and mentor Data Engineers, BI Developers, and other data team members
*Lead on data architecture, including data structures, schema design and data normalisation
*Oversee Data Warehouse strategy, build, optimisation, and performance
*Maintain and understand NHS datasets, flows, and reporting requirements
*Provide hands-on Data Engineering expertise (ETL/ELT, SQL, pipelines)
*Carry out DBA duties, including performance tuning, indexing, and database maintenance
Essential Skills & Experience:
*Proven experience managing Data Warehouse functions
*Strong understanding of NHS data
*Excellent data architecture, modelling and normalisation experience
*Solid Data Engineering skills (SQL, SSIS/ADF, Python, Databricks, ETL/ELT)
*Strong DBA capabilities (SQL Server / Azure SQL)
