Resistant Materials Teacher (KS3/KS4)

Location: Bury | Position: Resistant Materials Teacher | Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time | Daily Rate: £150.00 - £210.00
About the role:
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic full-time Resistant Materials Teacher to support students within a welcoming mainstream secondary school in the Bury area. This role is ideal for someone passionate about design, construction, and practical learning, helping young people develop technical skills and reach their full potential in an inclusive classroom environment.
This role is available for an ASAP start, with the view to continue until July 2026.
Teacher Role Overview:
* Plan and deliver engaging Resistant Materials lessons across KS3 and KS4, adapting teaching to meet a range of learning needs
* Support and differentiate for students with SEN, ensuring inclusive access to practical and theory-based learning
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to support development
* Create a safe, structured, and inspiring workshop environment
* Promote safe use of tools, machinery, and materials in line with health and safety regulations
* Work closely with SENCOs, pastoral teams, and parents to support student wellbeing and achievement
* Contribute to wider school life, including meetings, planning, and school activities
Experience, Training & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching Resistant Materials or Design & Technology in a secondary school setting
* Strong understanding of SEN/SEND and inclusive teaching strategies
* Up-to-date safeguarding training (can be provided)
* Prevent, behaviour management, and FGM training (can be provided)
Requirements:
* Right to Work in the UK
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Two professional references covering the last two years
