Our client, a rapidly growing SME, is seeking a Head of Finance to lead the finance function, implement robust processes and controls, and act as a strategic right hand to the MDs. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the financial direction of a scaling business and build a high-performing finance function from the ground up.

Position: Head of Finance
Full-Time
Salary: £80,000 per annum
Hybrid: 2 days in the office, 3 from home
Key responsibilities of the Head of Finance:
*Establish and enhance financial processes, controls, and reporting frameworks.
*Act as a strategic partner and right hand to the MDs, supporting commercial and operational decision-making.
*Oversee all core finance activities including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close.
*Provide clear financial insight and analysis to drive business performance.
*Lead on cashflow management and long-term financial planning.
*Build and develop a small finance team as the business continues to scale.
*Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and oversee external audit.
*Drive continuous improvement and implement best practice across the finance function.


Key essentials of the Head of Finance:
*Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
*Strong SME experience, ideally within a growing or scaling environment.
*Proven ability to build processes from the ground up.
*Excellent communication skills and ability to partner closely with senior leadership.
*Commercially minded with a hands-on approach.
