Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive temp Finance Officer to join a school’s administrative team on a temporary basis. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth running of our financial operations and supporting the school’s commitment to excellence.
Location: Reading - Hybrid working
Contract Type: Temporary ( 4 days a week)
Duration: 4 - 6 weeks
Hourly rate: between £13.50 - £15 depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
*Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including processing invoices and payments.
*Maintain accurate financial records and assist with budget monitoring.
*Prepare reports for senior leadership and governors as required.
*Ensure compliance with school financial policies and statutory regulations.
*Liaise with suppliers, staff, and external agencies regarding finance queries.
Requirements
*Previous experience in finance or accounts administration (school experience desirable).
*Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
*Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office (Excel essential).
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Knowledge of school finance systems (e.g., SIMS, FMS) is an advantage.
