Job Description:
Section Engineer – Norfolk
We are working with a leading UK infrastructure contractor on a significant civil engineering programme and are looking to appoint an experienced Section Engineer to support delivery on this major scheme.
This is a permanent position offering a salary of up to £45,000, plus car allowance and a comprehensive benefits package.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Sub Agent/Site Agent and take ownership of a specific package of works. You’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating and driving delivery to ensure activities are completed safely, efficiently and in line with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead and supervise a team on your package of works.
*work collaboratively with the wider team (health and safety, quality, commercial functions) as well as design
*Generate Inspection and Test Plans and manage material approvals.
*Produce and maintain a 3-month lookahead plan
*Monitor, record and report progress, comparing actual performance against planned outputs.
*Complete Health & Safety inspections
*Prepare detailed work plans that consider sequencing, constraints and interfaces
*Generate temporary works design briefs, review designs and raise technical queries to design teams.
Candidate Profile
*Must have the legal right to work in the UK — sponsorship is not available.
*Full UK driving licence (due to travel requirements).
*Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline) or HND with relevant vocational training.
*Training in Health & Safety and Environmental Management.
*Possession of a valid CSCS card.
